Goose Rye Farm is situated in quiet rural surroundings between Woking and Guildford.
The cattery has been caring for cats for nearly 40 years and was originally built to F.A.B standards. The cattery consists of 46 chalets for 1-2 cats and 7 family chalets for 2-3 cats. These are divided between three blocks, which look onto gardens and paddocks which in the summer months contain poultry, tortoises and rabbits. All chalets have thermostatically controlled heating, a shelf under a window, a pophole into a covered run containing a wooden scratch-post and an outside shelf.
There is also an isolation block as well as a block especially for the geriatric/special care cat.
We do not board dogs and our own dogs are well distanced away from the cattery.
A full alarm system is in place during hours of closing.

Cats are fed twice daily unless more is required. We stock a wide variety of wet and dried foods.

Cooked fish and chicken can be provided. Veterinary and special diets (including raw) must be supplied by the owner. Please note we do not allow belongings from home such as beds/bedding, toys and grooming equipment, these will all be provided for your cat/s stay. Cats requiring grooming must be in good coat condition upon arrival.

VIEWING is encouraged and welcomed at any time during opening hours, no appointment necessary.

All cats must have a current (ie within the 12 months) vaccination certificate for Feline enteritis and Cat Flu, this must always be presented on arrival. Flea treatment should be carried out prior to arrival. Details of any medical problems and medication should be detailed in writing and a medical card will be prepared. All our staff are fully trained in animal care and in administering both pills and injections. Should the need occur and when possible, the cats registered Veterinary Surgeon will be consulted otherwise the Cattery's registered Veterinary Surgeon will be used.
